Specialist teaching with a supportive approach

I am a qualified teacher and Specialist Dyslexia Teacher, providing individual dyslexia teaching and support for children and young people aged 4–16.

My approach is centred on understanding the individual learner, recognising their strengths and providing structured, specialist teaching to help them develop their skills and confidence.

I believe that children learn best when they feel understood, supported and encouraged to recognise their own progress.

Multi-Sensory

Using sight, sound, touch, and movement at the same time, helping to build stronger brain connections whilst learning.

Individual

Every learner has their own strengths, needs and learning profile. Teaching is tailored accordingly.

Structured

Sessions are carefully planned and follow a clear, systematic approach.

Supportive

Building confidence is an important part of learning. I aim to create a positive environment where learners feel comfortable and encouraged.

Practical

I want learners and families to leave sessions with strategies and approaches that are useful in everyday learning.

Real Training

My specialist training has given me a strong foundation in dyslexia, literacy difficulties and educational testing, supporting my work with children and young people.
