Individual teaching tailored to the learner
Specialist dyslexia teaching provides multi-sensory, structured, individual support for children and young people who are experiencing difficulties with literacy. I work with learners aged 4–16, adapting sessions to their individual strengths, needs and learning profile.
What can we work on?
All sessions are multi-sensory and planned around the individual learner's needs and interests. Depending on the learner, sessions may support:
Phonological awareness
Reading
Spelling
Phonics and phonological skills
Word recognition
Written language
Literacy skills
Developing effective learning strategies
Building confidence and independence
Teaching is systematic and carefully structured, with progress reviewed as the learner develops.
50-minute individual sessions
Each session lasts 50 minutes, providing focused one-to-one teaching in a supportive environment.
Where can sessions take place?
Sessions are available:
At my home classroom in South Manchester
At the learner's school, where appropriate arrangements can be made.
Online
The most appropriate setting can be discussed when arranging sessions.
